NUST Placement Office (NPO) continues to strengthen pathways between academia and industry by facilitating employment, internships, career development and professional opportunities for NUST students and graduates. Through sustained employer engagement and targeted initiatives, NPO remains focused on enhancing graduate employability and strengthening NUST\u2019s industry linkages.<\/p>

A progressive internship framework provides students with relevant professional exposure throughout their undergraduate journey. Students in Years 1 and 2 are encouraged to undertake voluntary internships with NGOs and community organizations to develop soft skills, social responsibility and workplace exposure, while Year 3 focuses on discipline-specific and technical internships aligned with students\u2019 academic and career aspirations.<\/p>

A major highlight was NUST Career Connect (NCC) 2026, bringing together 130+ organizations and over 4,000 students at NUST H-12 for recruitment, networking and industry engagement. For the first time, NCC expanded to Karachi for NUST-PNEC students, connecting approximately 250 students with leading employers. During the year, NPO also facilitated 200+ on-campus recruitment and career sessions, including recruitment drives, tests, interviews, assessment centres and career talks. Graduate profiles were shared with 1,000+ industry partners, facilitating access to more than 3,000 job opportunities from leading national and multinational organizations.<\/p>

Beyond placements, the NUST Young Students\u2019 Engagement Program (NYSEP) 2026 provided 170+ students from across Pakistan, including underserved regions, with early exposure to higher education, research, innovation and career pathways. The NYSEP Hackathon engaged 16 teams through Idea Pitching, Development and the Grand Finale, with mentorship from industry experts and venture capitalists to help participants refine innovative solutions and explore viable startup concepts.<\/p>

At the international level, the NUST Internship Program for International Students (NIPIS) hosted its largest-ever cohort of international interns, providing academic, research, professional and cultural exposure. The programme strengthens cross-cultural understanding, people-to-people connections and international academic linkages, while enhancing NUST\u2019s global visibility and projecting a positive image of Pakistan.<\/p>

Going forward, NPO will continue to strengthen industry\u2013academia linkages, global industry partnerships and international collaborations, while expanding internship, placement and mobility opportunities to connect NUST talent with opportunities in Pakistan and globally.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
